The Freelance Mum Presents: Becoming your own boss

If you’re working in a job that you no longer love (or never did) and dream about being your own boss, or you’re on maternity leave and dreading the ‘return to work’ so would like to look at becoming self-employed instead, this course is for you.

Through a combination of practical and creative exercises, I’ll teach you everything I’ve learned abut setting up shop. Alongside tips and advice from Steph Douglas (Don’t Buy Her Flowers), Frankie Tortora (Doing it for the Kids), coaches (Nicky Raby, Suzy Ashworth, Holly June Smith), freelancers (Cleo Walters – House of Cleo, Emma Merry – Homemilk) and legal advice from Ingrid Fernandez.

The Freelance Mum Helpline

Do you have questions about freelancing, as a mum, that you need help with? Perhaps you’re not sure what your day rate should be, how to get more social media followers, or how to get press coverage. Maybe you’d like to collaborate with people, work out whether it’s worth blogging or to learn the basics of SEO. Maybe you need to bounce ideas around (it can be lonely freelancing from home). If so, I now offer phone consultations. I send you questions to get an idea of your challenge, using your answers I prepare some advice – just for you – and we then have a half-hour phone call, running through my tips/advice, with time for more questions.
