Bianca Presto (@heybpresto), 37, lives in Hertfordshire with her husband Steve and their five-year-old daughter, Ren. She works as a PR director.
Our mornings are… relatively calm. According to a friend, I’m “incredibly spontaneous… when I’m not being super-organised”. School bags are packed the night before, uniform laid out and I’ll have a quick think of what to wear to work the next day too. Special credit goes to my husband who wakes up before us and ensures I have a cup of coffee in my hand before I can even croak “good morning”.
My kid mainly wears… An eclectic mix from my two favourites stores, Cissy Wears and Archie’s Boutique. Favourite labels include The Animal Observatory, Bobo Choses, Popupshop, Soft Gallery and Beau Loves.
I cope with clutter by… ensuring there is no clutter! It makes me feel anxious and stressed so I’m regularly clearing out wardrobes and the house. I used to get attached to the smallest things but when Ren came along I felt like I was drowning in ‘stuff’ so now I’m ruthless. I’m by no means a minimalist but for me, a clear house equals a clear head. I declutter so often, I’m surprised we have anything left!
I never leave the house without… my phone, a lip balm and a book/ my Kindle.
When no one’s looking I… close my eyes and enjoy the fact that no one is looking. Or asking me a question. Or asking me to wipe their bum.
I encourage creativity… by reading and exploring as much as possible. I feel incredibly lucky to raise my daughter on the doorstep of some of the world’s most inspiring art galleries, architecture and history. It’s totally different from the outdoor lifestyle Steve and I experienced growing up in South Africa so for the most part we’re learning and experiencing it together as a family.
I’ll never be able to part with… holidays. Long or short haul, city or beach break, camping or cottage, I’m constantly planning our next adventure and as soon as we’re back from one, I’m planning the next one. The countdown is part of the excitement.
