Finisterre – Fisherman beanie
Committed to a more responsible way of manufacturing, both in the fabrics they used and the manufacturers they work with, Finisterre aim to go further than “just adding an organic line to an existing range”. They have developed a UK fine fibre supply chain, taking British wool to the masses with their flock of 250 sheep, producing a yield of around 700kg of fibre a year. Once the sheep are sheared, they transport and hand-deliver the bales of fleece to the spinners in Yorkshire. It is then dyed and knitted into jumpers and beanies in Scotland.
